These Bible figures have been a wonderful addition to our Aslan group. Sometimes I use them to tell the story of the day in Group Time, but mostly the children enjoy using them with their supporter to re-enact the story in their own way.
It was relatively easy to make the outfits and I share my instructions to fit Action Men here:
For the men:
Cut out fabric piece 20”x 6".
Neaten the edges by hemming all round.
Fold over with lengthwise with wrong side facing and sew sides, leaving gap of 4" from shoulder for arms to go through.
Fold over shoulder to shoulder and cut small triangle (1" diameter). It will make V shape for head to go through when opened out.
Paint clear nail varnish on V opening to stop fraying.
Sew up 1/2 " hem at bottom.
Add a belt - shoelaces or any thin cord.
